This policy describes how Aya Cloud ("Syria Drive", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Syria Drive mobile app, website, and related synchronization services. Contact us at [email protected].
1. Information you choose to provide
We may process your display name, email address and sign-in identifier, home city, profile preferences, road reports, notes, status activity, and photos attached to reports. If you continue as a guest, some profile features may remain only on your device.
2. Location, journeys, and media
With your permission, the app uses precise location, altitude, speed, heading, accuracy, and timestamps for maps, navigation, road reports, recorded journeys, synchronized playback, and optional street-photo capture. Camera and microphone access is used only for features you start or enable. A journey may contain video, telemetry, selected settings, and interval photos.
3. On-device storage and synchronization
Journeys are stored on your device first. When you stop recording, GPS route telemetry is queued for automatic synchronization and retries when a connection becomes available. Videos and interval photos remain private on your device unless you explicitly enable cloud media sharing for that journey. A shared journey package can contain video, route telemetry, playback preferences, and captured photos. Anyone receiving a package may access its contents, so share it carefully.
4. Why we process information
- Provide maps, search, directions, location recentering, and offline-map features.
- Record and replay time-aligned video and route data.
- Publish, verify, moderate, and resolve community road reports.
- Operate accounts, synchronization, achievements, security, and support.
5. Community content and safety
Reports and media submitted for community use may be visible to others with a map location. Do not upload faces, licence plates, private property, sensitive locations, unlawful material, or content you do not have permission to share. We may restrict or remove content for safety, moderation, legal compliance, or dispute handling.
6. Service providers and transfers
We may use infrastructure, storage, map, routing, search, identity, integrity, crash-reporting, notification, and support providers. Data may be processed outside your country and protected through reasonable contractual and technical safeguards.
7. Advertising and consent
We use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display ads on passive screens, not while you navigate, record, or replay a journey. Depending on your choices and location, Google and its partners may process device identifiers, IP address, diagnostics, approximate location, and ad interactions to deliver, measure, limit, and personalize ads. The app requests consent where required and provides ad privacy options in Profile. Google processes data under its own privacy terms.
8. Retention and deletion
Local information remains until you delete it, remove the app, or your device clears it. Synchronized data is kept only as long as necessary to provide the service and meet safety or legal needs. Use in-app controls or email us to request access, correction, export, or deletion.
9. Security and choices
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access and transport encryption where supported. You can manage location, camera, microphone, photo-library, and notification permissions in device settings, disable interval photos, change ad privacy choices when available, and delete or export journeys.
10. Children
Syria Drive is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in their country.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Privacy, deletion, and support requests can be sent to [email protected].
